The study program General Medicine is offered in Slovak and in English language. Therefore, you will meet many locals but also international students during your education in Slovakia. In the academic year 2001/2002 the credit system was introduced that is compatible with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). After the 6-year period of education and successfully passing the state exams you will graduate as a Doctor of Medicine (MUDr. degree). The first three years of the studies focus on theory and pre-clinical training, whereas the second half of the education provides medical students with hands-on practice in the medical field. Any graduate of the study program General Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava meets the requirements to work in any country in the European Union. The tuition fee for the study program General Medicine in English is 9500 EUR per year.
